The veteran Nigerian actor died last week.
Veteran Nollywood actor and broadcaster, Justus Esiri, who passed away on February 19, will be buried in the third week of April in his home town, Abraka, Delta State.
This was made known by the late actor’s relative and spokesman, Geoge Esiri, a photo journalist.
According to him, the Esiri family has been involved in various
rounds of consultation and has despatched a delegation to Abraka to
conclude arrangements for date and time of the interment.
“As soon as that is done, the family will release details of the
programme for everyone to see,” he said, appealing to Media to be
patient with the family.
Prior to this announcement, the Esiri family had politely turned down interview requests.
However, a condolence register had since been opened at the residence
of the deceased at 14 Alhaji Azeez, Beesam, off Airport Road, Lagos.
Commenting on his father’s death, Marvin Records star artiste, Dr.
Sid, said there was nothing to be sad about his dad’s death, because he
lived a fulfilled life.
”His life is being studied in Universities in the UK. He lived to be
70, and anything else after 70 is a gift, so there’s really nothing to
be sad about’’, he was quoted as saying.
