When celebrities attack TOP TEN star-studded scraps

But it's nothing new.
The famous have been indulging in fisticuffs for decades now - with fans, photographers and even employees.

1) Russell Crowe

In 2005 the A-lister was arrested and charged with second degree assault after he threw a TELEPHONE at a hotel worker in New York - after the man refused to help him call his then-wife back home in Australia.
Crowe marched up to the reception desk at the trendy Mercer Hotel and launched the handset at concierge Nestor Estrada's face - leaving cuts to his face.
The 48-year-old escaped jail after settling a lawsuit with Estrada by writing him a six-figure hefty cheque.
He later described the incident as "possibly the most shameful incident that I've ever gotten myself in".
It wasn't the first time Crowe's temper has got the better of him - but it seems to have been the last.

2) Chris Martin

The fiercely-private rocker has had a number of run-ins with the paparazzi - but in 2003 he went too far and was arrested in Australian for attacking a photographer's car.
Chris lost his temper after he was snapped surfing off a Gold Coast beach and began bashing the man's windscreen with rocks, before slashing his tyres.
'Victim' John Lester told reporters after the incident: "He just lost it. I told him I was entitled to take pictures of him on a public beach but he wouldn't accept it."
Chris admitted the offence, but the charges were later dropped.

3) Britney Spears

The pop princess chose an unusual weapon with which to take out her frustrations on the paparazzi - a brolly.
Britney snapped and bashed a photographer's car with her umbrella - just days after her infamous head-shaving incident, back in 2007.
The disturbing clash took place between two rehab stints - and during her bitter battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline for custody of their two sons.
According to the photographers on the receiving end of Brit's brolly attack, she lost her temper after Federline refused to let her see Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Thankfully for Britney there were no legal repurcussions following her outburst - and she's since cleaned up her act.

4) Marilyn Manson

The shock rocker made headlines in 2001 when he was arrested and charged with assaulting a male security guard at a gig in Detroit.
Manson was accused of rubbing his head against 25-year-old Joshua Keasler's head while wearing only a leather thong and tights.
He faced a maximum sentence of two years behind bars - but got off with a fine after reaching an out of court settlement with Keasler.

5) Lindsay Lohan

The troubled actress found herself in trouble AGAIN last November after a scuffle with a psychic in a New York nightclub.
Tiffany Mitchell was left with a bruised face after the actress allegedly punched her during a fight over the latest object of Lindsay's desires - The Wanted singer Max George.
Lindsay was led away with cops and later arrested and charged with assault.
The issue has yet to be fully resolved - the courts are currently clogged up, dealing with all of the 26-year-old's other legal shenanigans.

6) Naomi Campbell

The fiery supermodel has been accused no fewer than TEN times of assaulting friends, employees and even police officers.
So few people were shocked in 2007 when she was arrested and charged with beating up her former housekeeper Ana Scolavino.
After pleading guilty, the fashionista was ordered to undergo an anger management program and complete five humiliating days of community service sweeping up rubbish at a New York tip.
Sadly she didn't learn from the experience and just a year later she was arrested for spitting at two police officers onboard a plane Heathrow Airport after kicking off about her lost luggage.
She was sentened to 200 hours community service and banned from British Airways for life.

7) Kanye West

The rapper got himself in a pickle with the police in September 2008 after clashing with a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport.
Kanye was caught on film dramatically tussling with the snapper as he prepared to board a flight to Hawaii.
The photographer's equipment was damaged in the fight, leading police to charge the star with felony vandalism.
The judge offered to dismiss the charge if Kanye agreed to undergo anger management classes and complete 50 hours community service - which he did, volunteering with charity organisation the Red Cross.
Those anger management classes must have worked - because Kanye's been on the straight and narrow ever since.

8) Olivier Martinez

The French actor got the chance to show off his skills as a former amateur boxer during a bout of fisticuffs with his girlfriend Halle Berry's ex Gabriel Aubry.
A discussion over the care of Gabriel and Halle's daughter Nahla, four, turned nasty and the model's face was left battered and bruised.
Oddly Gabriel, who also suffered a broken rib, was the only one arrested following the fight - after it was alleged he'd thrown the first punch.

9) Amy Winehouse

Hair-don't ... Amy lashed out to protect her famous beehive.

The late singer was caught on camera swinging punches at a fan during while performing at the Glastonbury Festival in 2008.
She rained blows on the man as she walked among the crowd belting out her hit Rehab.
Her publicist later insisted Amy was protecting her famous beehive hairdo - confirmed by the man on the receiving end of the star's quick fists.
James Gostelow, 25, said: "I saw a hat being thrown from behind me and it hit Amy's beehive. She looked down, saw me looking up, and her elbow went for me.
"She caught my forehead, then someone may have shouted something from the back, which is when she went in again."
James refused to involved the police insisting the attack was "part of the Glastonbury experience".

10) Bjork

Jet-lag? ... Bjork beat up a journalist who 'welcomed' her to Bangkok

Icelandic pop icon Bjork went berserk when she was approached by a female reporter as she arrived at Bangkok airport in 1996.
After the journalist greeted her, saying, "welcome to Bangkok" - Bjork responded by belting the bemused woman around the head.
The bizarre attack was all captured on camera.
The singer later claimed reporters had been hassling her son Sindri who had been travelling with her - but she agreed to apologise to the woman, who didn't involve the police.
