Speaking during a 3-day workshop on peace building and conflict management for sustainable development organised by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Kaduna on Wednesday, the Emir said the failure of the security agencies to carry out their duties as expected led to the escalation of the activities of the radical Islamist sect.
“The security agencies are to be blame for the escalation of the Boko Haram sect. Where were the security agencies when the sect members are importing guns? Where were they when they were training their members in Somalia? The security agencies should have pre-empted all these,” he said.
“Our problem is not workshop but implementation of recommendations. We organized workshops and seminars but we don’t implement recommendations. The solutions to our problems are in the archive,” he said.
